I like the idea of using avatars rather than photos. An avatar can be an visual representation of your real personality (after all, my photo would just show an overweight, old person). Teens are probably the most insecure people on earth so using avatars to represent themselves could be quite revealing."
July 16, 08: I tried changing my avatra to an animated head shot but it doesn't seem to be exporting that way.

The avatars are fun,aren't they and with all the time in the world one can update them to suit one's mood! Just perfect for teens.
I'm glad you were able to get your avatar uploaded without problem. Not everyone in the class was able to get their avatar uploaded the first try.

Teens can be worried about their image, but many of them post way too revealing photos online. I don't think they understand how many people are actually looking at them. The avators are fun.
